At Polmanter we have excellent facilities all maintained to the highest standard.
With shower and toilet blocks of exceptional quality, all are regularly inspected and have attained an “excellent” grading from the ETB inspector. The buildings are all heated and the newest block, built in 2005 and situated in Morvah meadow, has individual shower rooms, a disabled suite and under-floor heating. All showers have free hair dryers, shaver points and electric sockets for visitors’ own electric hair appliances. Chemical disposal points can be found outside each Amenity Building.
Our baby changing room has fun décor and deep sinks suitable for bathing small children and it is situated close to two family shower rooms opposite the Reception building.
Our laundry room is close by and is open all day and evening. It has industrial quality coin operated washing and drying machines providing excellent laundry facilities. Deep sinks for hand washing and free irons can also be found here.
Next door to Reception is the on-site convenience shop* selling a wide range of groceries, essential camping accessories and camping gas. Daily newspapers and magazines are available and you will also find a selection of toys, games wines spirits and a variety of beers. Bread, pastries and croissants are baked fresh every day filling the air with a delicious aroma first thing in the morning. A freezer pack hire service is also to be found in the shop.
A warm welcome awaits you in the Stable Bar and Restaurant* where you can relax after a busy day. Delicious meals are served each evening in the bar lounge, family lounge and conservatory which overlooks the swimming pool. This looks particularly attractive after dark when the pool is illuminated. The menu includes dishes prepared using locally sourced produce and a variety of real ales and local beers are available in the bar. Entertainment is provided during the high season. Bingo is always very popular and live music acts are also featured.
Save cooking by visiting the take-away counter* which is situated close to the conservatory and is open during the early evenings.
Security is very important to us and every effort is made to ensure the safety of our visitors and their belongings. We have a vehicle barrier entry system which is locked between the hours of midnight and six thirty am and during the high season, our night warden regularly patrols the park from 10pm to 5am.
Dogs are welcome at Polmanter as long as they are kept on a lead at all times. We have a large dog exercise area with free runs and dedicated bins. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the conservatory but not in the bar or pool area.
Public wireless internet access is available from all pitches at Polmanter so do bring your laptop. You can buy prepaid cards on site or log on for information on buying your access on line.
